Performance Characteristics
Pressure-rated for Hot Water – Supports continuous operation in domestic hot water systems at up to 200°F
Color-Coded for Line Designation – Red tubing is used to easily identify hot water lines in system layouts
Flexible and Lightweight – Minimizes the number of directional fittings required during installation
Corrosion and Scale Resistant – Will not corrode or develop scale deposits under normal water conditions
Non-barrier Pipe – Not for use in closed-loop hydronic heating applications
Installation Guidelines
AquaPEX® tubing is compatible with ASTM F1960 cold expansion fittings and is intended for use with PEX expansion tools and sleeves. Installation must conform to all local plumbing codes and manufacturer specifications. The tubing’s flexibility enables efficient routing in walls, slabs, and ceilings.
Application Scope
Hot water supply lines in residential and commercial plumbing systems
Domestic distribution systems requiring high-temperature and pressure performance
Installations requiring reduced fitting counts and long continuous runs
